Ice Blue Raspberry Kool-Aid.  Life is good!

So I just ran down the street to grab some kool-aid packs because (gasp!) we were out.  I got to the checkout line with ten packets of the mix plus a small box of crystal light.  I promptly told the saleslady that I did NOT want a bag.  For goodness sake, I can carry a small stack of packets!  She looked at me in disbelief.  I ignored it, and took the stack from her.  I had paid, and was starting to leave, when the security guard approached me with a plastic bag.  I smiled and politely said, "No, thank you, I don't need one."  He responded with, "Well take one anyway, we have plenty."

WHAT?  Did I NOT just say that I didn't need one?  So I hesitated and then politely (again) said, "I don't want one.  There is enough petroleum in fourteen of those plastic bags to fuel your car for a mile."  (SIDENOTE:  I assume this to be true.  I read it somewhere, and I'm stickin to it.)  He looked astounded, just stood in front of me for a minute, and then said, "Well I'll be."  And then moved.

So that is my interesting story of the day.  Today was relatively eventless.  I woke up ready to do some spring cleaning, and instead just danced around the house and acted silly for about two hours, then made some lunch and got ready to go to the pool.  The Rose Creek pool is great!  Very nice, although today was HELLA windy!  Hopefully tomorrow is better, because I want to go again!

Ok, I'm off to enjoy my Kool-Aid! :)

FIIIIIIIIRRRRSSSSTTT!

I'm picking this up...once again, because my best friend did.  I used to blog... all the time.  I quit when life got busy.  Well now life is WAY busier, but I would love to chronicle some of how I spend my time and my thoughts.

I'm at work right now.  I'm not too busy to blog.  How is this?  Because I'm mid-way through a sweet sixteen party and I have to stay to put the dance floor away.  Yes, I'm an event coordinator... a party planner and a confetti picker-upper.  It's a fun gig, but the hours are crazy.  Some days aren't long at all, others I'm here for sixteen hours.  This morning I boycotted coming in until I really had to.  I came in around 5pm and I'll be here until about 1:30am.  This is all okay with me though, because I have the next TWO days off!  Woah!  I haven't had a two day weekend since March!  I'm pretty stoked.

Today I made crusted porkchops for breakfast, and then tuna salad cheese melts for lunch.  Delicious!  I went grocery shopping, which always makes me feel like Miss Domesticity.  I really adore caring for a household and cooking.  Cristina (my best friend, and someone you will probably read a lot about) and I both love to cook, although she makes a point of doing it far more often than me.  We would be really good at Beyonce's life.  Dancing, getting our hair and makeup done, photoshoots, shoes, throwing parties, showing up at parties, picking out furniture for our awesome cribs... I'm working my way to it. :)

I'm tired.  I'm NOT hungry, which is unusual.  I just had a delicious taco salad, compliments of Rose Creek.... and a piece of yummy "tutti frutti" cake with pineapple filling, compliments of the sweet sixteen party.  It's a masquerade, but not many of them are wearing thier masks.  They ALL, however, are wearing glowsticks.  Awesome. :)  It was totally cool when several of them did the Thriller... every last move!

I suppose this isn't a very exciting first post.  I'm not trying to be eloquent... I'm just typing.  I'll get to the fun, quirky, interesting stuff later.  Right now all I want is a cuddlefest with my man, my puppies, and my kiddos.  I miss every last one of them!  Hopefully we'll all be together soon!

Ok, gotta go check out what dance moves are being thrown down to Usher's "Yeah"! :)
